Cannabis Cooking
I love cooking easy everyday meals with cannabis. I grew up in the South and cooking together as a family was something we did regularly. if you know anything about Black culture and our cooking style it can have a wide range in how we do things, but one thing holds true: measurements are done by taste and a lot of love. I’ve been cooking with cannabis for as long as I can remember. There was always a little spice jar in my grandfather’s cabinet with no name or label on it, just a green sticker. Even in spite of the War on Drugs in the 70s and 80s, we continued to consume this happy little plant daily in our foods. Remember, with cannabis cooking? It is always best to start low and go slow until you find that perfect dosage level for you. This can be simple if you create a container of an infused substance such as cannabutter.
I like infusing these muffins (or any food) with cannabis because it’s easier to ingest and ensure that I have a constant dose for my health. I deal with a lot of inflammation and pain in my joints. I can’t take any ibuprofen and pills. I find that cannabis helps me better when I eat it, more than smoking because it microdoses over a longer period of time and feels more beneficial medicinally.
